BoBo Do

This is my first time experiencing vintage kolinsky and my first time using a kolinsky face brush, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Kolinsky is known for being a resilient fiber that can be used for creams and liquids, so I was very surprised with how soft it is and how fluidly it moves on the skin. The hair is very straight and glossy and it has a beautiful colour. As for the handle, it is absolutely stunning. I love the black to blue gradient and the design with Fuji-san, the moon and the stars. My only gripe is that, being a very premium hair and handle, I wish the brushes had been available individually to make it a little more affordable to experience these gorgeous brushes.

After a year of anticipation, this set has finally arrived—and it exceeds every expectation. For the first time, Chikuhodo has crafted brushes of this size using pure vintage Kolinsky hair, an exceptionally rare achievement. The craftsmanship and quality are truly outstanding.

The hairs appear slightly thicker than those found in the original Koyudo Raden series (2019–2022), lending each brush a fuller, more balanced shape. The texture is remarkably smooth, with exquisitely translucent tips that speak to the excellent quality of the material.

These brushes are a treasure in every sense. My sincere thanks to BoBo for inspiring the brands you collaborate with to continually bring out their best.

I use this brush to apply shimmer shadows. It functions perfectly and is so pretty.

Soft and flexible bristles. Not too flexible though. Perfect for liquid foundation and bronzer application. Very versatile shape which fits multiple face areas.
Need the smaller version too. I don’t use concealer that much but with this one concealer may look more natural

This brush is perfect for blush. It is my new favourite brush and I have a lot of high quality fude brushes but there is something special about this one. It’s so soft, not too dense and the perfect shape. I’m in the UK but will continue to purchase more from you. I love it!

This is the best brush I ever had !Though it's not dense and bristles are very soft,it's surprisingly good at picking up product and blending out pigment with balance.It' s good at buffing out powder.

I have sensitive skin and often react with irritation. The desired result is "edgy but also elegant and natural." I don't want a mask-like finish.

The bristles are dense but also very soft. A certain stiffness makes it possible to blend foundation sticks perfectly.

My biggest surprise was the polished result. After application, my skin had a kind of natural glow that lasted all day. It was as if my skin were polished.

I am so glad that I splurged on the Koyudo five-sided face brush L by Yoshiki. The hairs are sooo soft but are resilient. I’ve used it to apply face powder, to blend a thin layer of cream foundation and also as buffing brush at the end of makeup application to blend all the makeup that’s on my face! I love it! I look forward to using it. It’s a versatile brush and so gorgeous!

I like the shape of the brush. The bristles are soft, the kakishibu tint helps the product grip, and I love the gradient on the handle. It's ideal for lightly pigmented blushes or bronzers.
