This brush uses a blend of weasel and fitch hair. Weasel hair tends to be stiff, while fitch hair is coarse and soft. I wonder if Chikuhodo blended them to mimic the feel of kolinsky?
But I have to say, Chikuhodo really knows their brushes. The feel of this blend is soft, yet resilient, not stiff. I’ve tested it with eyeshadows of different textures, and the results are quite good (except for Suqqu, I feel like that‘s Suqqu’s issue because it doesn‘t show up even with fingers).
I really like this brush. You can sweep it across your eye and apply a one and done, the edges can be used on the lower lash line. It’s a one stop eye brush for me. It the first eye brush I reach for when applying eye makeup.
