The “Tenpyofude,” believed to be the oldest surviving brush in Japan, features a thick body with a fine tip, making it ideal for transcribing sutras with consistent strokes over long periods. Due to its short, sparrow-head-like tip, it is also known as the “sparrow-head brush” (雀頭筆). It is said that this long and magnificent brush was used in the ceremony for the eye-opening of the Great Buddha.
Yoshiki has seamlessly blended traditional craftsmanship with modern makeup brushes. This uniquely shaped brush is highly versatile, perfect for both picking up and blending colors. Our previous High Grand Saikoho eyeshadow brush set was based on the Tenpyofude design, but slightly pressed with a ferrule. Now, Yoshiki is launching the original, unaltered version for you to enjoy.

This YT -3 is such a good size for blush, targeted powder and even powder contour. It goes without saying all the usual quality features and softness of KOYUDO Yoshiki. It's also beautiful to look at and hold. It's medium firm feel with more flexibility at the tip. The sharper taper and pointy tip makes it get into every nook of the nose and under eye. Unique brush to my collection. I've just ordered the Bobo version in this size, and the larger the YT-2. See YB-3, Bobo's cheek brush, YT-3, Beautylish Yano 05, Rephr 18 for size comparison.
