Product Description
Known as a “phantom” in the brush world, this blush brush is made from extremely rare pine squirrel hair.
Today, pine squirrel hair suitable for blush-length brushes has become almost impossible to source, making this piece exceptionally special.
Key Features:
- Gentle yet resilient hair with natural spring
- Silky-soft tips
- Excellent powder pickup and release
- Promotes a naturally luminous color payoff
Unlike pure gray squirrel brushes, this pine squirrel brush can pick up more pigment directly from pressed blushes, creating a richer, more seamless color.
It was once a must-have brush for professional makeup artists and beauty advisors.
Notes & Feel
Compared to horse, sokoho goat, or gray squirrel brushes, pine squirrel offers a completely different tactile experience — a smooth, cool-to-the-touch sensation described as “tsuru—hinyari.”
It feels somewhat similar to silver fox, but while silver fox gives a gentle warmth on contact, pine squirrel offers a refined cool smoothness.
As hair of this quality and length becomes increasingly scarce, this brush is truly a collector’s item — a rare opportunity to experience the unmatched feel of pine squirrel.

Amaizing
This brush looks even better in real life than in the pictures. It has a bit more pickup than a gray squirrel brush and the hairs seem a bit sturdier, but it’s still so soft. The makie design is beautiful and it is a pleasure to use.
